Ivanhoe FQ, undoubtably one of the most decorated
purebred Friesian stallions of our time, will be
standing at stud at Heavenly Gaits Farm for the 2010
breeding season.

Ivanhoe FQ from a young age showed a natural
talent for jumping-from clearing his stall door at the
inspections at 2 months old, to clearing 5 ft. fences at
2 1/2 years of age, thus Ivanhoe was originally broke
to ride by an open jumping trainer. Since it was
generally believed that "Friesians can't jump", it
would be up to Ivanhoe to prove that with the correct
breeding, natural talent and training the right Friesian
talent for jumping-from clearing his stall door at the
inspections at 2 months old, to clearing 5 ft. fences at
2 1/2 years of age, thus Ivanhoe was originally broke

Due to Ivanhoe's great mind and athletic ability, it became apparent that Ivanhoe FQ

For Ivanhoe FQ, 2008 proved to be the culmination of his quality breeding & training
which prepared him to complete the rigors of the 60 day FPZV Stallion Performance
test, proving himself to Federation Nationale licensed officials with good scores at
cross country jumping, heavy weight pull, driven dressage, ridden dressage, as well as
conformation and movement, ending the event as an FPZV Approved Breeding Stallion.

Ivanhoe is a complete gentleman. He resides along side mares and never
misbehaves. He is quiet enough to allow a young girl of 12 to handle and ride him. He
loves people and has a wonderful personality. His beautiful mane and magnificent full
tail complete the picture of a fantasy Friesian. We are very happy to have him as an
addition to our farm. We look forward to a long and productive breeding and show
career with him.
