Melodica


Melodica is my daugher's favorite horse.  This spirited and fun mare has had 8
beautiful foals over the years and now is my daughter's show horse.

She is a 15 year old Spanish Andalusian bay mare by Dejado II out of Calesera VIII.  
She sports lots of mane and tail and a great attitude.

She started training both under saddle and driving at age 3 with Mr. Gareth Selwood.  
She was subsequently sold and began a career as a brood mare.  It was by pure luck
that I was able to buy her.  I bought her for my daughter while she was in foal.  We
began to work with her again under saddle at that time until she gave birth.  We  
decided  to try for a foal of our own after she gave birth to a gorgeous filly.  In 2008 she
gave birth to a stunning bay colt.  She was again  back under saddle while  having the
foal at her side and was great about it.  We began seriously showing her in 2008 both
under saddle and reintroduced her to driving.

In 2008 my daughter took her to IALHA Nationals and won a National Championship
and a Reserve Natonal Chapionship with her as well.  In 2009 she also began
showing with me as well as my daughter and finished 5th in the nation as USEF
Youth Andalusian.

She will be shown in the 2010 show season both under saddle as well as driving.
